Come and visit awhile, enjoy a bowl or two of stew – January 31, 2026
Due to circumstances beyond our control…this year’s stew will be held on January 31, 2026.
In the light of the fire at the Greenberry home, the Good Family New Year’s Day Brunswick Stew will be held at 2571 Norwood Creek Way, Powhatan. We will have three guest sessions (Noon to 2, 2 to 4 and 4 to 6). While you are welcome to come anytime, you might consider coming when folks you might know will be here. Plenty of parking on Norwood Creek Way. Those with limited mobility are welcome to park in the driveway (no handicapped decal required…just come on in the drive).
Noon to Two: Family & Friends (Philip Morris, HSC, MCV, Trail Life, River Dogs, Midlo High)
Two to Four: Neighbors (both Norwood Creek, Whitecastle & Greenberry)
Four to Six: Church Family (both Crestwood & Community West)
Andrew, Brewmaster of Good & Son Brewing, has brewed two beers to be served on tap: Oktoberfest and Hefeweisen. For those who are not beer drinkers we have a winter cocktail (cider, cranberry, ginger beer, spiced rum) and plenty of non-alcoholic options including a Sparkling Apple Juice.
